I'll never forget the day that my crippling sciatica finally disappeared.
It was 2007, I was walking down a cobblestone street in high-heeled hard-soled boots in Limerick, Ireland and every step I took was pure torture and had been for a long time.
Sciatica ruled my life and I'd become obsessed with getting better. I'd spent thousands of dollars and many hours of my life devoted to getting rid of the pain, which was so bad and so intense that sometimes all I could do was cry.
It hurt to walk, it hurt to stand, and it hurt to lie flat on my back. I was convinced that the only choice I had left was to buy a wheelchair and figure out a way to live an even more limited life.
And, then one day in Limerick, Ireland on a cobblestone street, I took a step, and just like that the pain left, never to return. And all because I had followed the advice offered by Dr. John Sarno. I had found him and his methods when I was at the end of my rope. What I learned was that my pain wasn't structural and, there was more going on than I realized.
That walk in Ireland changed my life and I believe that everyone should know about Dr. Sarno's work, so I made a video about Chronic Pain this week that you can watch *here*.
You'll what happened after I started using Dr. Sarno's methods and what I did following that to help me become completely pain-free, which was a true miracle.
I mention some books in the video, along with other books that helped me heal and you can find those in my bookshop: https://bit.ly/3xgWMMo
If you can relate to my story and feel you need more, don't hesitate to reach out... I offer Chronic Pain Coaching Sessions and am here to help you find relief.
Sending hugs and hope for a pain-free life!

Transcribed from the Fall in Love with Yourself Podcast featuring a monthly theme, weekly themes, and tools to manage both.
Can you believe it’s November already? Let’s all take a moment and honor ourselves for making it this far through this crazy year.
I want to hear from you! What are you struggling with right now? Please email the firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know, this will help me create better shows for you in the future!
Lastly, be sure to read all the way for a special message from The Dude (also known as Archangel Michael)/
So, here we are. It's November and the theme for this month is I've got 99 problems and I ain't told you one.
I don't know who said that, but I love it because it points us towards something that's really important that can change your life in a major way, which is our propensity to complain.
Do you complain about things? Do I complain about things? Yeah, sometimes I do.
But you know what I have found is that the more I complain the unhappier I get. And it really doesn't add to my life or make things better. And I bet if you're paying attention you’ve noticed that, too.
What does complaining really get us anyway? Stuck in victim mode for one thing. And that's not helpful to anyone. Who wants to hang out with the victim, am I right?
So with the theme of I've got 99 problems and I ain't told you one, your challenge for this month - and honestly, it should be your challenge for the rest of your life - is to stop complaining. Just stop it right now. Start to be mindful of what you're saying and thinking. Be mindful of the times you're complaining. Be mindful of what that complaining creates in your life.
You know I talked a lot here about how everything is energy and frequency and when you're complaining you're creating more things to complain about because you're drawing them to you. So I want you to stop it, right now, and hopefully for the rest of your life. Just start this month, and see how it goes.
Seriously when you stop complaining it can change your life in a really positive and powerful way and that's what I want for you. I'd also love to hear from you how this goes for you this month, so feel free to DM me on Instagram @kimaflodin or reach out to me at email@example.com and let me know what you notice when you stop complaining. Let's make a pact together to become more mindful in our speech and thoughts and to stop complaining.
Moving into our first week of November, which runs from Monday the 2nd through Sunday the 8th, the theme is if we don't feel grateful for what we already have, what makes us think we'd be happy with more?
I can’t think of a better theme as we head into Thanksgiving. Because we all have a lot more than we think we have. For whatever reason our brains seem to be wired to focus on what we don't have instead of looking at and being grateful for what we do have and that's a pity, but like the theme for the month of no complaining requires us to be mindful, so does being grateful for what we already have and taking the focus off what we don't have, right?
I think you know where I'm going with this, the challenge for this week - and again this is another tool that you could use for the rest of your life - is to start making a gratitude list.
Writing a gratitude list daily is a small thing you can do to create big changes in your life. Did you know that studies have proven that when you become more grateful and mindful of what you are grateful for that you not only improve the relationships you have, but you also attract new and better relationships? It also helps your physical and psychological health, plus you'll sleep better and it can improve your self-esteem and your mental strength.
I hope you can start making a list either at night before you fall asleep or in the morning when you wake up of at least five or more things you are grateful for and shift the focus to what you have. This exercise will help you truly understand and be grateful for what you have and help you also see what is available and who is around you in your life. I'm excited for you to start this!
Okay moving into the second week of November, which runs from Monday the 9th and ends on Sunday the 15th, the theme is being difficult makes a difficult journey more difficult. You may have been given a cactus but you don't have to sit on it. I love that - I don't know who said it - but I love it.
This theme supports that we don't want to be complaining about anything. we want to be focusing on what we have and what we are grateful for and not on the fact that someone is trying to get us to sit on a cactus, right?
So your challenge is, honestly just continue with what I've already asked you to do... which is to stop complaining and keep that gratitude list going. When you do those two things you have the power to change your life rapidly, seriously when I stopped complaining and started focusing on being grateful for what I had, life responded in kind and started bringing me more things to be grateful for and way fewer things to complain about. And I want the same thing for you.
The third week of November starts on Monday the 16th and ends on Sunday the 22nd and the theme comes from Brene Brown, if you don't know who she is please look her up. She's an amazing author and speaker and you should definitely check out her Ted Talk on vulnerability, it's super inspiring. So the theme from Brene is don't try to win over the haters, you are not a jackass whisperer.
So do you ever try to convince somebody of something that you really feel strongly about and they don't agree? How much fun is that? How frustrating can that be? Doesn't even work to try to get someone to change their mind if they don't want to?
I believe the answer to all those questions is no it doesn't and it's not worth it so don't waste your breath. Don't waste your time, just follow Brene Brown's advice. Don't try to win over the haters, you're not a jackass whisperer. the haters aren't your people. You want to be around people who want to be around you and you want to be around them. So stop right now trying to win over the haters. Haters are going to hate as the saying goes that's what they do and they're good at it but you don't have to use your precious time to convince anybody about anything. Just let it go.
So your challenge this week is for you to become very aware of when you're trying to convince somebody of something that is true for you but may not be true for them and taking the time to notice if it really matters in the long run. Be mindful of this because it's important for your mental, emotional, and physical health.
Remember what I say… if people are offended by you being you, then they're probably not for you. so let it go and stay focused on the people who love you, who are cheering you on, and who want you to be your best self. That's the most important thing right now. Stop trying to be a jackass whisperer, because guess what jackass whisperers never win.
The last week of the month runs from Monday the 23rd and ends on Sunday the 29th and includes Thanksgiving. The theme is you have permission to rest. You don't have to fix anything. You're not responsible for anyone else. You can take some time for yourself. You can say no. You can ask for what you want.
This last week of the month is really all about empowering yourself and being true to you. Because if you're not being your authentic self and being true to who you are and honoring Who You Are, you're ripping the world off.
And I want you to sit and think about what that means. I can tell you when I think about anyone doing that, it pisses me off. I know that sounds harsh, but it's true. If you're not letting yourself be who you truly are with everyone you come in contact with, you're not only doing yourself a huge disservice, but you're doing us a huge disservice because you're not letting us know the true you!
And how can you expect to attract the people who are going to love you, cheer you on, adore you, and want to be with you, if you don't even want to be with who you really are? Please stop hiding from us! Please don't shrink yourself to be someone you think someone else wants you to be, please don't hide from your beautiful self. You're not doing anyone any favors and I really want you to stop it.
This is the perfect week to do this because many of us will be gathering with people who we love and care about and who love and care about us for the Thanksgiving holiday- although this year I think there's going to be a lot of Zoom Thanksgiving celebrations - still it doesn't matter, be you, please.
One thing I think we've all become aware of this year is that life is truly short and it can change on a dime. So please be yourself and give yourself permission to be yourself. Give yourself permission to rest and really understand that you don't have to fix anything and that you're not responsible for anybody else's life but your own.
I don't care if you feel like people don’t approve of you, if they want to be disapproving and miss out on how wonderful and awesome you are that’s their choice. And for some people, that’s just their default programming... so just be you.
Give yourself permission to take time for yourself, give yourself permission to say no when you want to say no, and give yourself permission to say yes when you want to say yes. And finally, give yourself permission to ask for what you want...if there's only one piece of pie left in the pan and you want it but you know that someone else loves that kind of pie,eat that pie without guilt or worry and enjoy the damn pie!
Your challenge this week is to just do all those things. Ask for what you want, take downtime as you need it, stop taking responsibility for others shit, say no, say yes, and stop worrying so damn much about what other people think of you. Please stop denying us from knowing the true you. You're only hurting yourself and I hate that because I want to know you and other people do too. Not only that, we all deserve to know who you are, your true beautiful self.
So it's kind of a big month and a heavy month. There's a lot of mindfulness involved this month but I know that you can do it and I haven't asked anything that's too difficult for you to do. And I promise if you even do one of these suggestions, you will see your life shift in a positive direction.
I'd love to hear if you have any feedback or any results that happen when you do follow this advice. I want the best for you, really I do and I know I was maybe a little harsh this month but it's only because there's no time to waste anymore. Life is short. Don't complain. Be grateful. Be true to you.
And now here's a short message from Archangel Michael for you:
Hello, my dears, this is Archangel Michael, I'm so grateful that Kim listened to my request to be here and share some of my wisdom with you all.
I know that many of you are worried and concerned about the state of the world right now. And there is a lot going on. I know that, and so do the Angels who guide you and who are all around you at all times. We know you are scared sometimes. we know you are worrying. we know you are wondering about what's going to happen next. We know you feel uncertain and confused and alone a lot of the time.
I am here today to assure you that all those things are normal human reactions. But also to remind you and share with you something that I tell Kim quite frequently, which is you don't know what you don't know.
I and my fellow archangels and angels are working in a realm where you can't see us but that doesn't mean we're not here for you and guiding what's happening on the planet. We are and there is more happening for the good than is known to you right now. And even though I can't share why it is this way, please trust me that this is the only way that it can be at this time. I want to remind you that no matter what is happening, truly all is well - and I know this is hard to understand - but trust me that things are happening exactly as they're supposed to.
I can tell you we are here for you, I am here for you, you can call on me anytime you are feeling lonely, confused, anxious, fearful, stressed out, worried, or uncertain and I will be there.
That's my job, to be there for you when you call and if you don't believe that I am showing up for you, ask for a sign that you will understand and I will make sure to give you one. please trust that you don't know what you don't know and that I and all the archangels and all the angels are here for you. We are here to help and we are helping.
One last thing, not everybody would have the courage to share a message from me to you in this way. So please support my dear friend Kim, she and I have been best friends for a long time now and she has seen and witnessed more miracles than she ever would have believed could happen and I want that for you as well. But what I also ask is for you please support her and what she is trying to do to make the world a better place. Thank you for listening. This is your Archangel Michael sending much love and support as I sign off for now.
You can listen to the podcast here or wherever you get your podcasts and if you have a minute and can review the show on iTunes, please do so, this helps others find the show who may enjoy it.
If you do leave a review, send me a screenshot of that either by DM on Instagram at Kim.A.Flodin at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll send you a downloadable copy of one of my favorite and popular coloring books, How Do I Love You? Color the Ways.
August 2020 - Good enough is not good enough. It's time to stop settling for less than we deserve or desire.
A transcript of Fall in Love with Yourself TOOLKIT.
Hey, there it's Kim. And welcome back to the Fall in Love with Yourself Toolkit for August 2020.
Can you believe it's August already?
I mean really, and I just want to say kudos to everybody who's listening and has made it through to August of this year, because what a crazy freaking year, right? I mean, wow. It's one for the record books for sure. And I just hope everybody's doing okay.
So I wanted to bring you up to speed on a few things that I've been doing to keep myself feeling okay. And of course, one of those things is coloring and, you know, I love coloring. Obviously, I have like, I don't know, 25 books or something on Amazon. And one of the places I color is in My Organized Chaos book, which is my organizer that I use every day. Plus I really like Christina McAllister's books. She's got like fairies and nature spirits and some really cool stuff. So if you'd like to color, check out Christina McAllister's stuff, her stuff is cool.
I've also been doing quite a bit of reading and checking out books from the library on my iPad, you know, reading on the library app or whatever. So I've read Untamed by Glennon Doyle, which I highly recommend for every woman and men too, because she really nails what, what it means to be a woman and what it means to become untamed. And, you know, a lot of what she talks about in there is what I talk about here in the podcast that we need to align with ourselves and speak our own truths. For sure.
The other book I just finished is The Hate You Give, which was excellent. And that's by Angie Thomas. And I guess it's also a movie. I read that one because I was interested in reading something more from an African American perspective on race. And it's not a nonfiction book, it's a fiction book and it really is excellent. And it's just a good story, but I would suggest that if you're interested in understanding racial inequality and the stuff that's been going on in the country, this is a good book to start with because it's fiction like like I said, and it's a good story.
And then just for fun, I've read a couple of murder mysteries by William Kent, Krueger, who I am a huge fan of. I recommend him highly if you love a good mystery plus he's from Minnesota, which is my home state, and reading his books makes me feel like I'm visiting some of my favorite places in the world, which is just awesome.
And of course, I've been watching a little TV here and there. So the things I've been watching lately are, um, I've been watching the series In the Dark. I started on Netflix now it's on the CW the second season. Uh, that's really good. And we're watching one called Home Before Dark that's on Apple TV which is the true story of a nine-year-old girl who is a journalist and solves a murder.
And then I watched a couple of my all-time favorite movies, which are Cinema Paradiso. And if you haven't seen that, oh my God, such a good movie, such a good movie. And the other movie I watched, that's also, one of my favorites is Fly Away Home. And for laughs, I just finished Community on Netflix. And that was also excellent. I completely loved it, loved all the characters, and was kind of sad for a couple of days when it ended, because I felt like I lost some friends. I don't know if that happens to you when you read a good book or watch something really good where you binge watch something and when you finish, you're like, “oh, I miss those people.” But that, that definitely happens to me.
The other thing I've been doing is really trying to just be mindful of my health. You know, I'm trying to eat really well. And then the other things that I do to keep myself healthy are I practice the Wim Hof breathing method. I've talked about this before on this podcast. And I do that every morning. And a lot of times before I go to bed at night. So I'm doing anywhere between three to six rounds of that a day. And I highly recommend you check that out. If you're interested in being well, improving your health, for one thing, He has a method of breathing that has actually been scientifically proven to help you be able to control your own autoimmune system, which is huge.
So there's also an app look for the Wim Hoff app and the app store and it's free and you can get going on that. And if you have questions, you can definitely reach out to me. And I do sessions with people on breathing and how to get going really on that one with doing the correct rhythm and making it comfortable for you and stuff like that. So we could do a quick zoom session.
And then the other thing I've been doing is I'm using my phone to do high impact intensity training, which is awesome. And I use an app that’s called HIIT, but it's part of another set of apps. That is my yoga app, which is Down Dog. These are both free apps. You can pay for upgrades, but they are free and I've been using them for years. And they're excellent. So HIIT for high impact intensity training workouts, and then the yoga Down Dog yoga app is super good.
And then, of course, I've just been going for walks in the neighborhood. I love that too. And taking pictures of flowers, that's something else I love to do.
And when I'm not doing all that other stuff, I'm keeping myself really busy. Because I'm working on putting together the upcoming Align with Your Intuition Challenge. That free challenge is going to start on Monday, August 31st, and end on Friday, September 4th. And you can Register Right Now to get in on the action. I've got a really fun week planned for us.
AUGUST THEME: Good enough is not good enough. It's time to stop settling for less than we deserve or desire. - Kim A. Flodin
That comes from me and I'm not sure, but I might've gotten this idea from when I was reading the Untamed book because she talks a lot in there about how we especially women are really so programmed really we're really so programmed to settle for things, settle for less than we deserve and less than we desire. And you know what? No more people, no more. The time has come. Good enough is not good enough. It's time to stop settling for less than we deserve or desire. And that's, that's it for the whole month. I want you to really have this top of mind as you go through the month and look at when you are settling, when you are giving up on something.
So the tool basically is just to pay attention, pay attention this month, about the times that you cave and about the times that you say, okay, fine. I don't want, I don't care if I get that or, you know, whatever the situation may be. And then it might not even be like, you're interacting with another person. It might just be something in yourself.
Like you've got a dream within yourself that you want to happen, but there's a piece of you that just doesn't think you deserve it. Sometimes we don't even think we deserve the desire to deserve it. Do you know what I mean? Like sometimes we don't even let ourselves feel like it's okay to want it. And that's ridiculous. So I want you to focus on your desires and focus on what you deserve this month and give it to yourself if you possibly can. And that's probably gonna mean taking some action that could be uncomfortable on your part, but I know you can do it. So keep track of it, keep a journal, write it down, write down what you're going towards. Some intentions, let's see some change happen because you know what good enough is not good enough. And we deserve more. So let's give it to ourselves if we possibly can. And I know that we can, we can all take steps towards our desires this month.
WEEK ONE: Monday, August 3 - Sunday, August 9
THE THEME: Integrity is the harmony between intention, words, and action. - Alana Fairchild
So moving into week one, which starts Monday, August 3rd and runs through Sunday, August 9th, the theme is integrity is the harmony between intention, words, and action. And that comes from Atlanta Fairchild. I love this quote and it's really awesome because it follows up completely on the theme for the month. Because if we're in integrity, we will have harmony between intention, words, and action.
So the tool for this week is to create harmony for yourself, through your intention, your words, and more importantly, your action. I can easily set an intention for something that I might not do. I might say out loud to other people I'm going to do XYZ and I might not do it. The thing that makes the difference between all of this, I can set intentions. I can say the words, but if I don't take action.
What's the point this week, the tool is to find the harmony between intention, words in action, because that is true integrity. So have integrity with yourself, follow through on what your intentions are and your words are with action. Take one action this week of something you have said you're going to do and have not done yet. Please do that for yourself. That is The Tool. And of course, let me know how that works out for you.
I love hearing from you guys. You can always DM me on Instagram or on Facebook. And I promise I'll respond.
WEEK TWO: Monday, August 10th - Sunday, August 16th.
THE THEME: Stop being afraid of offending people. Be you. If they're offended, maybe they're not for you. - Kim A. Flodin
Week two starts Monday, August 10th, and ends on Sunday, August 16th. And the quote is to stop being afraid of offending people. Be you. If they're offended, maybe they're not for you. And that quote comes from me because you know what? If you have to be somebody else to get someone to like you, what the hell? That doesn't even make any sense? You have to be yourself because when you're yourself, you will attract the right people. After all, they see you and you'll pull them in.
If you're being afraid that you're going to offend somebody, then that person probably isn't for you. We all do this. We get, we all get into situations where we have to do this. Whether it's maybe with someone we work with could even be with a spouse or a partner. But if you're having to shrink or be less than who you are in any situation, I want you to really question that.
This week's Tool is I want you to do a little bit of journaling. I want you to write down about who you're afraid to offend and how you can change that and find some bravery to be yourself. Find three reasons why it's better to offend the person and find three reasons why you should offend the person. You can do this. I've said this many times before if you're not being yourself, you're robbing us of you. People want to know you and we need people to be true to themselves. There is nothing sexier than someone who has the vulnerability and courage to just be themselves. So please journal about this and see what you find out because this is important stuff.
WEEK THREE: Monday, August 17th - Sunday, August 23rd
THE THEME: Every issue in your life is a direct result of a belief, which says this should be different. And that comes from me. - Kim A. Flodin
Okay? As we move into week three, it starts on Monday, August 17th and ends on Sunday, the 23rd. And I love this one. Every issue in your life is a direct result of a belief, which says this should be different. And that comes from me. And I figured that out one day and it's true. It's true. Everything in our life that we think is an issue is because we're believing that it should be different than it is. Can you see that? If you can't see that maybe you want to do a session of the work of Byron Katie with me, if you are thinking it should be different than it is, that is such a painful place to be in and doing the work of Byron Katie can really get you clear on that.
The tool for this week is I want you to look at what's causing you pain. What belief is causing you pain and what you think should be different. And sit with that, just sit with it for a little bit and think, should it really be different?
What I like to remind people that I work with is you're not driving the bus and you're not in charge unless you got a memo from the universe that says, “Hey, you are now in charge and you are responsible”
You're not in charge. You're not even in control. I mean, control is an illusion. If you think we have control, really, I mean, look, what's going on in the world, the COVID, um, you know, the riots, the protesting, all that stuff. We don't have control, things just happen basically.
So what I like to say is you're not driving the bus. You're never going to have to drive the bus. You have not been tapped to drive the bus; you're on the bus. So you might as well just enjoy the ride. And what I mean by that is, let's say you really literally are on a bus and you're thinking, “Oh, the bus is going the wrong way, blah, blah, blah.” You've got all these stories about what's happening on the bus, but you're not the driver and you can't do anything about it. So you kind of just let it go, just let, go and chill out.
And I know this is, you know, top-level on something that could be really deep. Like I said, again, if you can't let go of something that you really think should be different and I know how painful that can be, I get these things stuck in my head too. And then I have to remind myself of what I know, but if it's really hard and you can't let go of it, reach out to me and let's do the work of Byron Katie, because I just use four simple questions and a turnaround. And if you do it correctly, it's amazing. Yeah.
Just take a look at that. Take a look at that, that this should be different. Every issue in your life is a direct result of the belief, which says this should be different. Think about that. Just think about it this week. That's just your tool. Just think about, is it really true that it should be different because it's just playing out how it is. Again, this is a very high-level kind of way to look at this, but it's actually the 100% truth.
WEEK FOUR: August 24th - August 30th
THEME: Forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover the prisoner was you. - Lewis Smedes
So moving into week four it starts August 24th, which is a Monday and ends on Sunday the 30th. And the theme is to forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover the prisoner was you. And that comes from Louis Smedes.
You know, I've been thinking a lot about forgiveness lately because I've had some things happen in my life that were really, really hard and really surprising and surprising that people I loved and cared about could act like that and could do that. And I just realized the other day, it's not helping me to hold on to that story. It really isn't.
Like I just said about the previous week, if I think that it should be any different than it was, I'm the crazy person. It went down, and it is what it is. So what I really got is that I need to forgive. I need to forgive myself for believing them and I need to forgive them for what they did. And really at the end of the day, they're not even going to know if I forgave them because I'm not going to tell them, but I definitely am going to forgive me. And I can feel a difference ever since I made this decision to forgive them and myself, I have felt different.
Like I said, they did their part of what hurt me exactly how they were supposed to do it. And it worked. I got hurt and upset and I've carried a lot of anger and stuff around with me, which isn't healthy. And once I realized that it's just better to forgive because I'm freeing myself.
We all probably have something that we just think we can't get past. I want you to look at that and realize that the person was acting exactly how they should have acted and that you can forgive them without ever talking to them or seeing them again, or even letting them know. So your tool for this week is I want you to write a letter to the person or a situation that you can't seem to forgive and forget, get angry if you need to, but also focus on why you can forgive that person.
And then when you get done doing that, write the same kind of letter to yourself, because we all are doing our best. This is what I believe. We're all doing our best.
I was doing my best when I got into the situation with those people, and I'm still doing my best. They're doing their best to get people into that situation, I guess. And you know, it's nobody's fault.
So let's just forgive and then forgive ourselves. It's huge. This is really huge work. That's a big thing to do this week, but I know you can do it. And if you get hung up, reach out and visit TheColoringBookCoach.com. I have several things there to help you deal with life situations.

Also I'm in the middle of designing something really fun and special for everybody, which I think is going to be something to help us kind of deal with what's going on right now, but also just super fun. I'm calling it, Align with Your intuition and it's going to be a Free Five-Day Challenge, and I'm going to be doing it soon. I don't have the dates quite figured out yet, but it is coming soon, so stay tuned!
THE THEME FOR JULY 2020: If you 're always racing to the next moment, what happens to the one you're in? Slow down and enjoy the ride.
So it's July already. I just wanted to check in with everybody and see, how's it going?
How are you doing? How are you coping? How are you coping with the world right now? What are you doing for self care and thinking about all that.
I just want to say that no matter what you're doing, what's happening, how you're coping, it's all okay.
Because it has been intense. These are intense times on the planet and the energy has been intense. And even if you think you're a person who's not that tuned into the energies, don't kid yourself, we all feel this.
We've had a lot of change and a big shif and there is a lot of grief happening on the planet. And you know, we all are feeling that.
So I just want to say, I hope that you're doing okay. And I hope you're taking care of yourself. I think it's good to be drinking a lot of water right now. supporting yourself maybe with some herbal teas and things like that.
You can take an Epsom salt bath, which is a really good way to detox and also listen to your favorite music. Take time out for yourself. If you feel like you need to take a nap, take a nap. If you can get outside and go for a walk and that makes you feel good, do that, but whatever's happening just it's okay. It's however you're dealing with it. It is okay.
I've had days literally where I have cried for the whole day because just of the sadness of everything that's been going on. And then the next day I'm good and I can get some work done. But then the following day after that, I might just have to watch Netflix all day. These are the times we're living in. And my advice is just please be kind to yourself.
This is not the time to be talking down to ourselves and shoulding ourselves. We've done enough of that in our lives. Screw that, be kind to yourself, allow yourself to do what you need to do. And when you need to do it, that is my advice too.
As we move into July and the second half of 2020, which I heard someone describe as a shitshow, and I have to agree it has been, but that doesn't mean we want to give up hope about what could be because out of chaos comes possibilities. We know that.
This kind of goes back to what I was just talking about because there never has been a time like this on this planet, we’ve never had an opportunity like this, where we can actually just kick back, take some time, and get to know ourselves, because we’re usually racing all the time to get to the next thing.
Well, guess what? There's always just the moment you're in, but if you're not actually in that moment, then you're really kind of missing out on your life and you're missing out on yourself.
THE TOOL FOR THE MONTH: So my advice for this month and the tool for this month is I want you to practice mindfulness... be aware of what's going on around you.
Take some time, be mindful, go sit outside or go sit somewhere for 10 minutes without your phone. You could bring your phone, see if you can even sit somewhere and not look at your phone for 10 minutes, set your timer for 10 minutes, sit, be in your environment, watch yourself, listen to your mind, let yourself get still and silent and just see what comes of that.
And if you can do that every day in the month of July, that would be awesome.
So again, the theme is if you're always racing to the next moment, what happens to the one you're in? So let's slow down and enjoy the ride.
WEEK ONE: Monday, July 6- Sunday, July, 12, 2020
THE THEME: If “Plan A” didn't work out, stay cool, the alphabet has 25 more letters.
This is so such an encouraging message. I don't know who said that, but I love that because it's true. I mean, we have to be resilient, especially now we have to realize that we might be coming up with things that we think are going to be the way to go, the thing to do whatever, but that might not actually be it.
And if something doesn't work out, the best thing you can do is pivot, pivot, pivot, and just look for what could possibly be your next plan, because you like it says the alphabet has 25 letters. So if Plan A doesn't work out, stay cool.
THE TOOL: Take an inventory of what you are doing right now. What is your Plan A? What is it that you're working on? I want you to just take an inventory of it and see how it feels.
Find out for yourself because it's possible that you may be feeling burned out. Things might be are hard. Things take too much time. It's not fun for you. Well then, guess what? Planning may not be working out and you may need to pivot to Plan B whatever that is.
So this particular week in time is a great time to just reevaluate where you're at and decide if you need to pivot to a different direction. And that's exciting actually.
Let me know how that works out.
WEEK TWO: Monday, July 13, - Sunday, July 19, 2020
THE THEME: How Much Better Can it Get? - Dr. Dain Heer
I love this week’s theme. How much better can it get? It kind of is like the theme from June, which was Hello, Beautiful.
This is kind of the same way, because no matter what freaking happens, I want you to use the phrase, how much better can it get?
So let's say you're walking along and you find a quarter on the ground and you pick it up and you say, how much better can it get? Well then maybe you get home and someone has sent you money for some reason that you didn't expect. How much better can it get?
I mean, we don't know what's going to happen, but if you just keep saying how much better can it get? You might be really surprised. And I have used this tool in my own life. And it's amazing.
And even if things are shitty, seriously, if things are shitty, if you can stop, regroup and just think, okay, how much better can I get? Even if it's shitty, because that allows the space for things to improve. If you're all focused on how much something sucked and blah, blah, blah. Well then guess what? Like attracts like, and you're going to get probably more of that, but if you can...STOP, take a breath and think, okay, okay, okay, let’s reframe and how much better can it get?
How much better can it get? And when things are going, right, how much better can it get? Seriously, try this this week and see if things don't get better. So that's your tool. Just use that phrase.
How much better can it get? No matter what's going on, center yourself with the phrase, how much better can it get? It's fun. You're going to have fun doing this really.
WEEK THREE: Monday, July 20 - Sunday, July 26, 2020
THE THEME: She stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails. -Elizabeth Edwards.
I freaking love that quote because power it's all about power and knowing who we are and knowing that we can stand in storms and we aren't going to get blown away by the wind.
No, no, no. We know we can stand there and we'll just adjust our sails.
So the tool for this week is to write yourself a story about a time when you did this, a time when you thought you might get blown away and you did not.
We've all lived through stuff like this, but I want you to remind yourself because it's important to remember the warrior that you are. So write a story about the time that you thought things might blow you away and that you didn't get blown away and you just adjusted your sails
If you want to share that in the Facebook group, I would love that! These are the kinds of things that are so inspiring to each other because women are strong, we're strong and we forget how strong we are because we're busy being strong. So share your stories because we need to encourage and inspire each other!
WEEK FOUR: Monday, July 27th - Sunday, August 2nd, 2020
THE THEME: Dream Big!
Because we have been dealing with a lot of things just this year and previous years too. But this year, like I said earlier, it has been a shit show. And when you're constantly bombarded with a lot of heavy information, which we have been just with everything that's been going on with the COVID, with the protesting it's heavy. And when that happens, it's hard to dream about anything because we become hardened in a way. And we, it almost feels like we become neutralized on things because we're tired.
It's exhausting to hear all this information. It's exhausting to know that so many people are leaving the planet right now. It's exhausting to be aware of the protesting and the injustices that are going on and have been going on. It's hard. And, and as women, we are compassionate creatures and empathetic creatures and it hurts our heart. And it's exhausting.
When you're exhausted, it's hard to dream, but this week I want you to just set aside a little bit of time for yourself. And I want you to dream. I want you to dream about what could be, and it doesn't matter how it doesn't matter why, it’s all about what could be. So, what is your vision for the world, and for yourself? What is it? Put it down on paper, write out your dream, read it every day at least for this week or maybe for a while.
Because like I said earlier, possibilities come from chaos. When things get crazy, things can change and change rapidly. And we've seen that. So use the theme of dream big to actually do that.
Write down your dreams, look for what can come from this chaos, find your possibilities and be true to yourself.
Remember if you're always racing to the next moment, what happens to the one you're in that's the overall theme? So it was, let's just slow down and enjoy the ride.
Remember to use HOW15, when you book a session with me at my website, and that will give you 15% off your first session. Use the code HOW15 in the booking notes, and also watch for information to come about Aligning with Your Intuition, which is going to be a FREE Five-Day Challenge.

Welcome to the month of June 2020 and I hope you’re doing okay as you can be doing right now as we move into this year… I do want to take a second to remind you that the theme for the year is:
Not to spoil the ending for you but everything is going to be okay. (If you want to know or hear more about that, go back and hear what I said about this in January’s blog or podcast.
Before we get into this month, I wanted to bring you up to speed on a few exciting changes!
Today I’m doing something that I help others do, which is to step into my authenticity as a Reiki Master, Energy Healer, Intuitive Coach, and Psychic Guide, Podcast Producer, and Artist … this set of words describes me much better than the coloring book coach ever could and although I loved The Coloring Book Coach in 2017 when she was invented, it’s time to let her take a rest…. you’ll still hear me mention The Coloring Book Coach, but I’m much more interested in interfacing with and helping you as a Reiki Master, Energy Healer, Intuitive Coach, and Psychic Guide (and if you need help with podcasting or art, I might be able to help you with that, too). If you’re interested in learning more or would like to book a reading, please visit thecoloringbookcoach.com and hit the book appointment button.
One last thing, I am an independent provider and creator and I truly appreciate your support… if you’re able to help out, please visit Buy Me A Coffee to help support the podcast! And, please be sure to tell your friends and leave me a review and rating on iTunes if you can… thanks so much!
Okay, now on to the month of June 2020 in what has been an incredibly interesting year so far, right?
THE THEME FOR JUNE: Hello, Beautiful!
Oh my god, I’m loving June… you know why?
The theme for this month is Hello Beautiful.
What did you think when I just said that… did you think I was talking to you, the future, the surroundings, what? Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter… there are no incorrect answers to this one, but you might want to notice what did come to your mind when I said that… just to help you understand yourself a little bit more.
But let’s just approach the whole month of June with the attitude of Hello, Beautiful, okay?
What does that look like?
You stop to smell the roses, literally, on a walk…. Hello, Beautiful You burn dinner… Hello, Beautiful! You see yourself with your crazy hair…. Hello, Beautiful! You stub your toe and swear out loud... Hello, Beautiful!
Okay, so what does that mean… it really means that you approach everything that’s happening as something beautiful because even those these examples seem like separate events, they’re actually not, they’re part of the stream of the thing we call life, and ultimately, life itself is beautiful.
THE TOOL FOR THE MONTH
Your TOOL for the month is to really start seeing it that way by just reminding yourself to react with “hello, beautiful!” to whatever comes your way and see if that changes anything for you (and if it does, I want to hear about it, come over to the Facebook group or DM on Instagram and share your thoughts!
WEEK ONE: Monday, June 1- Sunday, June 7
THE THEME: If it’s happening you can handle it, otherwise it wouldn’t be happening and that quote comes from me.
We have come back to an affirmation that we’ve already had, so this is important. Things don't repeat themselves for no reason, things that repeat themselves want us to pay attention to them. So, this week, we’re back to that If it’s happening you can handle it, otherwise it wouldn’t be happening and that little gem comes from me.
The last time this one showed up was just a few months ago… in March, actually, which is when things were really getting started with the pandemic and it is no less true now than it was then. No matter what is happening for you now, please know that you can indeed handle it. Do you have a choice? Not really, right? Life shows up in however it shows up and we meet it in whatever way we meet it.
Have you ever thought about the fact that if it’s happening you can handle it, otherwise it wouldn’t be happening? I mean if something is happening, it’s happening… you’re Your only true choice is how you handle or react to it and we already know that this month’s overall theme is Hello Beautiful! So, at least for this month, that is the way to react to anything, and please try to understand on a deep level that if it’s happening you can handle it, otherwise it wouldn’t be happening.
The big takeaway this time from this statement is that it is happening, you can deal with it and no matter what or how that happens, this is a time to go easy on yourself, be gentle with yourself, patient with yourself, kind to yourself. We are in trying times. I know you are doing your best, don’t let the voice in your head beat you up or tell you you’re not doing it right or enough or anything else… be gentle, kind, patient, easy on yourself. Take your time. Treat yourself with love. Believe in yourself, in your resilience, your capability, your abilities, and your strengths.
Sit down and write yourself a letter about how well you are managing and all the GOOD things that have been happening in your life, really dig deep and show yourself what’s true about your life.
WEEK TWO: Monday, June 8 - Sunday, June, 14
THE THEME: I’m not strange, weird, off, nor crazy, my reality is just different than yours. - Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
Okay, who else loves the theme this week?! And, who is with me in feeling this way? Isn’t it time to just let your freak flag fly whatever that might be? I think so!
So, I’m not going to get into a big thing about this…. except to say that this week is about you doing you. You being you. You embracing wonderful you. It’s time. Yes, it is.
This week’s tool might be a little scary for some of you but I want you to think about something that is you that you’re maybe not comfortable with sharing with other people because of what they might think and then I want you to pick one person to share that with and see how it goes. I know that sounds scary, but trust me, vulnerability is a superpower and we need our superpowers now more than ever. And, vulnerability builds connection and sharing builds confidence. So go for it.
(If you’re really too scared to do this with someone you know, feel free to email me
email@example.com or DM me on Instagram at Kim A. Flodin.)
WEEK 3: Monday, June 15th through Sunday, June 21st
THE THEME: The greatest step you can take in life is the first one. - Jeanne Lebsack
Last week I asked you to do something a little scary, and this week is the same… what are you wishing for, waiting for, wondering about that you could take some action on but for whatever reason you have not done it yet?
If you’re feeling a little queasy hearing this or reading this, then we know we have a winner… that is the thing you need to take action on as soon as you can! No matter how scared you are, no matter what your mind says about it, no matter what other people might think… now, more than ever is the time to take a step towards your goal, your dream, your desire! If not now, when???? Time is passing quickly, the earth is changing rapidly and people are literally leaving the planet faster than ever before in our lifetimes… so please, life is short and I want you to succeed and be happy.
First of all to be brave and believe in yourself and what you want, the second step is to take a step towards that (this could be just admitting to yourself that you want it and it’s okay) and then if you can take another step, that’s awesome! Go you! Be brave… you owe to yourself and your dreams!!!
WEEK FOUR: Monday, June 22 until the end of the month
THE THEME: Some of the things you believe were never true. They were someone else's fears. Give yourself a chance to examine your thoughts. Change those that are negative. You are deserving. - Louise Hay
Okay, week four actually takes us until the end of the month and the theme is a fun one, if you don’t know Louise Hay, I recommend you look her up, she’s no longer on the planet but she was a remarkable woman who is very inspiring, insightful, and helpful. I love her a lot.
There’s not really too much more to say about this week… the advice is spot on and the advice is also your TOOL for this week… start to examine what you’ve believed, question the validity of those negative thoughts that show up, and work on changing them through whatever method you can… color, journal, exercise, whatever feels right and if you’re still hung up, consider doing a session of The Work of Byron Katie with me… I’ll ask you four simple questions and help you quickly turn around whatever stressful thoughts are weighing you down. You can book that on my website… thecoloringbookcoach.com
That’s it for June! Stay strong, be brave, and believe in yourself and your possibilities!
May2020 you must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you - Joseph Campbell
The theme for this month, May, 2020 is:
“You must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you.” Joseph Campbell
Wow, I love the theme for this month… You must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you.” which comes from the very wise and wonderful Joseph Campbell… if you don’t know who he is, look him up.
So this theme of giving up the life that is planned goes so perfectly with the theme of this year, which is Not to spoil the ending for you, but everything is going to be okay. This year, this month, this time is all about letting go, people… just letting go and trusting life.
I like to tell people that life is like taking a bus ride in a super comfy bus… with great big windows and lots of interesting stops along the way… and guess what? You never have and never will be driving that bus… you’re not the bus driver, neither am I… we’re all just along for the ride, what matters is is how well you can enjoy the trip.
So, you must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you…. This can’t be coming to a shock to most of you by now… if this time of pandemic and quarantine is showing us anything it’s that we are for sure, NOT IN CHARGE. We are not driving the bus! It’s about trusting life and letting life guide you (it always is, actually)… trust that you can let go of the plans and that the bus driver knows what’s going on so you don’t have to… see what happens when you do and find the life that is waiting for you.
Your Tool for the month is to just play with the concept of letting your plans go and trusting that it will lead to the life that is waiting for you. Do some journal writing about what it looks like and feels like to let go of what you thought was going to happen and open yourself up to the potential and possibilities of the unknown and see how that feels! Be brave!
The Theme for Week One of May which is Monday, May 4- Sunday, May 10 is:
We live in a wild, wonderful, and wacky world... and can you believe the shit we’ve believed? - Kim A. Flodin
May is coming on strong… I choose these sayings and affirmations completely randomly from a large selection I have and this one just reinforces the monthly theme from Joseph Campbell of: You must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you, right?
Because its says we live in a wild, wonderful, and wacky world and can you believe the shit we’ve believed? and guess who said that? That would be me. I was talking to some friends who all know they are not driving the bus, like I mentioned, which lead to a discussion of the things we’ve believed that we don’t believe anymore.
Have you ever had a discussion like that with your friends? You find out something that you thought was true and then you find out that not only was it not true, your view of it was absolutely not at all what was really happening?
It can be a powerful moment when you realize something like that! Depending on what you were believing it can make you laugh or at the far end, give you a pretty big case of cognitive dissonance which can manifest in all sorts of ways… headaches, stomach upset, insomnia, body pains, buzzing sounds, tiredness and more. Changing a big belief can have big consequences! So, if and when you find that happening to yourself, remember to be extra kind to yourself. This is not the time to come down on yourself for what you believed or thought before, this is the time for compassion and good self care.
If you're struggling with some beliefs and you’re trying to figure out if they are working for you, I may be able to help as a facilitator for the work of Byron Katie… we can dig in and find out if your belief is supporting you or if maybe you can see it another way… reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or send me a DM via Instagram or Facebook!
Find a way to be extra kind to yourself right now… choose just one thing you can do for yourself that feels compassionate, supportive, kind and caring and then do that thing! Maybe it’s taking a walk and looking at the flowers in your neighborhood, maybe it’s calling your best friend from high school and catching up if you haven’t chatted in a while, maybe it’s taking the time to do a little exercise or yoga, maybe find the time to take an Epsom salt bath if you have those available and really soak and let things go. Find one thing this week to do for you.
The Theme for Week Two of May (Monday, May 11- Sunday, May 17) is:
One day you will tell your story of how you’ve overcome what you’re going through now and it will become part of someone else’s survival guide.
Speaking of changing perspectives, how about this beautiful piece of wisdom which was also sidewalk art?
Imagine sharing the story with someone in the future about how you coped during a once in a lifetime historic pandemic event! How will you be the heroine of your own story? What is going right? What is supporting you right now? What is making you proud of yourself? How much better can this get? These are all great questions to answer for yourself right now.
And, I have a great tool for you this week… did you know that it’s proven that happier emotions truly do make everything better? From test scores to pain responses to better relationships? The happier you can be and are in your thoughts influences your whole life, so the toolkit this month is to take 30 seconds every morning (create a reminder for yourself) and think about something that really made you happy and joyful… even if you find yourself thinking about the same exact event, that’s okay… just get into that memory and how happy you were at the time. One of the memories I go back to is laughing so hard with my sister Erin and my niece Maggie while shopping at a goodwill… I can’t remember what was so funny, but I definitely remember the joyful buoyant feeling of laughing my head off with people I adore. Find your happy, laughy place and spend 30 seconds there each day. And see what happens.
The Theme for Week Three of May , running from Monday, May 18 to Sunday, May 24 is: Do what you can, when you can, if you can and never beat yourself up for not doing more. - Kim A. Flodin
Have you noticed some people on social media appear to not only being uber productive and up right now and they’re also doing things that they’ve never done before but always wanted to do? Like learning Spanish or how to play the guitar or finally giving in to their urge to paint? Isn’t that wonderful?
Maybe you’re one of those people…. And maybe you’re not… maybe you’ve been in the same pair of pajamas for three days in a row and you’re not sure if you’ve brushed your teeth yet today and you just finished your last pint of Cherry Garcia with your last clean fork and you just don’t really feel like doing anything…..isn’t that wonderful?
Guess what? It is wonderful, as wonderful as the uber productive person… both are equally wonderful ways to be doing and coping with life right now as well as what falls in between those two places… maybe you’re uber productive today and then you spend a few days in your pjs binge watching Tiger King… seriously it’s ALL GOOD! Why, because it’s what’s happening! You are literally doing what you can, when you can, if you can… and the goal is to never beat yourself up for not doing more. That’s it!
So, if you have been beating yourself up and maybe even comparing yourself to those productive people on social media, your tool for the week is to STOP THAT RIGHT NOW.
Print out the words of the meme for this week and hang it around your house and notice anytime your mind is shaming you, shoulding you, pushing you or prodding you… just be aware of what you are doing, what you feel like doing and, do what you can, when you can, if you can and never beat yourself up for not doing more.
Have a great week! I believe in you and if you need extra support, send me a DM.
The Theme for Week Four of May (Monday, May 25- Sunday, May 31) is:
(note, I said the wrong dates in the podcast)
Stop thinking in terms of limitations and start thinking in terms of possibilities – Terry Josephson
Yay for the last week of May, I think the word possibilities is one of my most favorite words because ti contains EVERYTHING THERE IS and it’s such an expansive word… if you believe in possibilities, everything is possible!
Where are you thinking you can’t, you shouldn’t, you don’t know how? What if you started thinking instead: I can, I should, I might not know how know but I can figure it out! Can you even imagine how your life would and could change by doing that? I think you know where I’m going with this!
The tool for this week is to take a look at the limiting self talk you’ve been saying to yourself and flip it around to terms of possibilities instead! Seriously! You might just be shocked at what happens when you release the chains and let yourself open up to what could be…
It’s a powerful month… with more than one chance to change your perspective on things and focus on the possibilities out there for you, those you love and the planet! Have a beautiful month!

apr2020-How you see your future is much more important than what has happened in your past - zig zeigler
Well, it is April! We made it through March and what a March it was, right? We are now literally waking up in a different world than we were before and with that comes a lot of things, lots of changes, lots of adaptations, lots of wondering just how this is all going to play out, right? We’ve got worries about our loved ones, ourselves, our homes, our planet. If there has ever been a time riper for change, possibilities and potential… it is now.
I can feel how stressed we all are on the planet and so I’ve designed a four-pack of coloring pages for you, all are encoded with power, strength and well-being for you and two of them feature the phrase (and a good daily affirmation for right now) of I am strong, I am healthy, I am powerful! (Knowing that now is very important).
You can download them right now at from the Freebies page at TheColoringBookCoach.com.. Even if coloring isn’t your thing, I encourage you to give it a try now, it’s really remarkable how powerful and healing it can be. It’s been proven that 60 minutes of coloring has the same effect as 60 minutes of mediation, so give it a chance if it sounds interesting!
My friend Nicole Rivera, who has a great podcast called Stop Writing Alone for you writer types, recently pondered on all that’s going on and concluded that maybe this is the end of the world as we know it. And, to paraphrase REM’s famous song, she feels fine because to her the end of the world doesn’t necessarily mean the end of you or the planet, but the end of doing things as we have been doing them which is a perfect stepping stone to this month’s theme, which is How you see your future is much more important that what has happened in your past from Zig Zeigler.
This is truer now than ever before… how we see our future is much more important than whatever has happened in the past. We are at a moment in time in which we truly have the opportunity to shape a better future, for us, for the planet and hopefully for the seven generations that will come after us, as the Native Americans advise on doing.
The tool for this month is to take a moment and write a letter to your future self 6 months from now, a year from now, five years from now, 10 years from now… any amount of time… it’s your choice and truly express how you envision your future and the future of our planet. After you finish, date it and sign off with I love you and I knew you were capable of amazing things, and your name. Seal it an envelope with Letter to My Future Self and the future date you will read the letter and create a reminder for yourself to do so!
The wisdom for week one of April comes from me and it’s this:
Set your weirdo magnet on high so your weirdos know what way to go.
What exactly am I talking about? Well, there really is no time like now to find your tribe and for them to find you. If you feel like you’re missing out on the community, first of all, make sure you’re hanging out with me on Facebook… I have two fun groups for you… Fall in Love with Yourself and How in the Hell did I get here? Please look for them and join them, we would love to have you. And, while you’re there, look around Facebook for other groups you can find connect you to others… there are some great new global groups opening up over there, where you can meet people who are quarantining from all over the world… there’s a great one called Rock the Lockdown with performers from all over the world giving concerts and performances from their living rooms. So, please don’t socially isolate during this time… reach out and let us reach back! Finding and being with your weirdos is more important now than ever.
Your tool for this week is to find one new group (on Facebook) or wherever else you can find a virtual group and join it and be active, make a new online friend!
The wisdom for week 2 is: You never know when a new beginning is going to show up!
I love that this actually supports this month’s theme…. we’re all in the beginning of a new beginning right now! Beginnings are happening all the time, but this time, we’re doing it all together, all at the same time and that’s very exciting.
Your tool for this week is to breakdown the word Beginning and write words that say that this a good thing to you. For example:: B is for blessing, E is for exciting, G is for gin (and virtual happy hours on Zoom), I is inside where we must stay, etc. Have fun with this, maybe make it into a piece of artwork or color or draw around the words!
The wisdom for week 3 is LOVE is all around. It’s true. We are literally swimming in a sea of love. Life is love, truly.
The tool this week is to prove this to yourself…. Look for the love….
Do you see hearts everywhere? Count them this week, take pictures of them on your phone, ask them to show up for you, go outside and see if you see them in the clouds or a leaf on the ground, in a shadow….anywhere. Ask life to show you the love and see what happens! (And, if you’re in the Fall in Love with yourself Facebook group, post what you find there!)
The wisdom for week 4 is: The darkest hour has only 60 minutes, which comes from Morris Mandel.
It’s true…. the darkest hour is always only 60 minutes long, and there’s no better time than now to realize that and that you’ve already lived through a lot of dark hours and you can again!
The tool for this week is to join me and others from around the world this coming Sunday at 9 AM PDT (check what time that is for you at time and date dot com) for five minutes of silent prayer to disrupt the pattern of Covid19 and to pray for a miracle. This was started by Marianne Williamson and I have participated for the last two Sundays and I am inviting you to join in this global gathering. All you have to do is set your clock for whatever time zone matches 9 AM Pacific Daylight Time and say a silent prayer for the next five minutes for a pattern disruption and a miracle.
It’s a month to stay focused, be balanced, and be grateful for all that you have and trust that everything is going just as it should be, no matter how crazy is… things go as they go and the best thing we can do is control how we react to that, I can tell you 100% that fire fuels fire, so if you’re afraid, stressed, anxious, projecting a fearful future that all ripples out and affects the rest of us, so please do your best to stay centered, trust our beautiful planet and life and all that’s happening now… when you do that, it also affects us all and trust, calmness and love is more powerful than all the rest.
We’re heading into new territory, but never before have we had an opportunity like we do now. Thank you for listening and I’ll meet you hopefully soon in one of my Facebook groups! Until next month, believe in yourself!

Welcome to the month of March 2020! I’m telling you right now that this feels like it’s going to be an amazing month! And, based on the memes (and one powerful coloring page) that showed up for you this month, it will be.
Let’s dive into the theme for this month which comes from one of my favorite people, Jeanine, Lebsack, if you don’t know her, look her up… she’s remarkable. You can actually hear her on a two part series on my other podcast, How in the Hell did I get here in the episode called From Breakdown to Breakthrough and stay tuned for more to come from Jeanine.
Jeanine’s sage advice for this month is that it’s just better to accept the apology you have not been given. Isn’t that beautiful advice? People, this is the month to let that shit go and by shit, I mean all that crap that you’re carrying around with you that pick and prod and you and yet you won’t let go.
You know what I’m talking about right? Those small and maybe big slights, broken promises, hurts, embarrassments, any of that stuff.
The universe is saying to you now: it’s just better to accept the apology you have not been given! It’s just BETTER… better for you, better for the people around you, better for the planet, better for the universe… don’t you want to be part of that? Let it go… when people know better, they do better and sweetheart, it’s never about you, it’s about the other person… you want to know when it becomes about you? When you hold onto and make it about you… so let it go… accept those apologies that weren’t actually given. You can do this…
THE TOOL FOR THE MONTH: Write a letter to anyone who you feel as wronged you and really let yourself go with how you feel. When you’re done do a ceremony releasing all that pent up stuff by either tearing the letter into small pieces, safely burning it, or pour water over it and see it dissolving. Give yourself the apology and give yourself peace.
WEEK ONE: Moving into the first week of the month, which runs from March 2-8. The theme is simple: Why fit in when you we’re born to stand out? Who are you hiding from? Why do you care if you fit in? What has fitting in really gotten you? What would happen if you stick out? What would happen if you were yourself? What would happen if you were vulnerable, real, alive, the real you?
Now, let’s think about this… if you’re afraid to stick out, to be you, to expose yourself, have you ever considered that not only are you doing yourself a HUGE disservice, you’re also doing the rest of us a huge disservice… why is that? Because when you aren't being yourself, we can’t get to know who you really are… this is why so many times someone will come out as themselves and the people who are close to them will walk away from them… they walk away because they liked and thought they knew the person who was not being true to themselves.. It’s a tragedy all the way around in may ways and also it’s freeing as you find out who loves you simply for being you and who loved you or cared about you conditionally.
I’m not saying that any of this is easy, and I am saying it is really worth it.
THE TOOL: The challenge is to stick yourself out there a little bit in whatever way that looks… be yourself and see what happens (and if something amazing happens be sure to let us all know… either in the Facebook group or send me a Facebook or Instagram DM or email email@example.com We want to know and celebrate any way life improves from this podcast!)
WEEK TWO: runs from March 9 to 15th and the theme comes from Martin Luther King, Jr: Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.
This is such a beautiful reminder… I like to think of a dark room...if I bring in an unlit candle, nothing change, if I light that candle, the dark is now made light. What candles could you light to illuminate the dark parts of your life or mind? Providing light, allowing light, bringing light is all a kindness to yourself and others.
THE TOOL: Focus on where you can bring more light into your life (this is just really building on the them for the month of accepting things where they are)… it’s all about letting stuff go, lightening up...literally and figuratively. Do something nice for yourself or better yet, yourself and someone else… and concentrate on bringing and being the light. You’ve got this.
WEEK THREE: Woohoo, check out what showed up for Week Three which runs from March 16 to March 22nd. Breathe Motherfucker, which is a quote from the breath-master and world record breaker many times over, Wim Hof in regards to his amazing breathing method, known as the Wim Hof Method… if you want to learn more about him, do a YouTube search and if you’re interested in trying the technique, DM me for a session. I can help you get going on the technique and be your accountability buddy if you choose!
So, this week is about remembering to breathe! Really in whatever way that looks for you, obviously I’m a proponent of Wim’s method, but you might just want to work on noticing your breath this week… are you sighing a lot, are you breathing shallowly, do you have allergies or asthma happening, do you feel like you are breathing easily in every sense of that?
THE TOOL: Focus on your breath when you think of it and if you feel moved to go further with breathing, contact me, research on YouTube or use a technique that you already know about. The other part of this challenge is to look at the artwork when you’re breathing and to literally breathe in those words of support! Enjoy this! Have fun with it!
WEEK FOUR: The month ends on an affirming note: If it’s happening, you can handle it, of it wouldn’t be happening. This last week of the month runs from March 23 to March 29.
There’s always stuff happening right… good, bad and otherwise. The key to dealing with what’s happening, I’ve found is to accept the truth in this week’s quote, that if it’s happening, you can handle it, of it wouldn’t be happening. I mean, really, that is the 100 percent truth… we can’t stop time and there’s really very little we truly have control over, so what happens, happens.
And, it’s a lot easier to manage when you can really take in the fact that if it’s happening, you can handle it, of it wouldn’t be happening. Really. Now, this doesn’t mean anything at all about HOW you will handle it… you may be handling some things with ease and grace and others maybe not so much and you know what? That’s okay! You’re human… we all are and I know you’re doing the best you can, no matter what the voice in your head or anyone around might say.
THE TOOL: Write and send yourself a thank you note… like literally go to the store and find the nicest thank you card you can and then write yourself a thank you note for handling all you handle, address it to yourself and pop it in the mail. Extra bonus: Add a fun gift card to the card while you’re at the store! You’re worth it!
Again, we would love to know how this podcast helps you! Feel free to DM me on Instagram or Facebook or email me directly firstname.lastname@example.org
It’s an amazing month with so many opportunities for growth and expansion and a great month to fall even more madly in love with your beautiful self!

So when I was leaning into this month and sensing the energy of where are we going to be at with February of 2020, a few thoughts came to my mind...we're in a leap year, which is really fun because I don't think this is just a leap year. I think February, 2020 is a leap month, but I think this is an entire leap decade because I think we're starting off on something completely new. The 2020 thing is about clarity.
We talked about that last month, but I think we have a real chance here now to make some big leaps in 2020. Leaps that will take us through this decade, leaps that will have an effect through the coming decade. It's a big month, so welcome to February of 2020 you have an extra day this month, so let's make sure we use it right.
The overall theme for this month is people with good intentions make promises, but people with good character keep them. I think that's pretty self explanatory, actually.
I think we have a real opportunity this month, this leap month, to look at where we might be making promises and intentions that we're not keeping and these can be to ourselves. I know that I personally make promises and you know, intentions and I don't show up for myself. So this is the month to do that.
If you're doing it with other people. I mean we all do this sometimes where we say something and we don't follow through. I had a situation not too long ago where somebody promised me something and I was so excited about it and then the person just kept not answering me about when we were going to fulfill the promise. And finally, after a few uncomfortable months or maybe a month or so of being really uncomfortable because it was like obviously nothing was happening, I finally went to the person and said, “Hey, you know what? I feel like you made a promise that you really didn't mean to make. So let's just table this for now and leave it be, because that just feels weird.”
What happens is if you make a promise to somebody and you don't fulfill that promise and you don't follow through on it, you've created like an energetic loop with the other person. And by not completing your promise, you're leaving energy just kind of dangling out there.
And that's what I was feeling with that person... where something was promised and it was promised in a big way and then it didn't happen. And I could just feel the strain of that promise laying out there in the universe. And that's why I chose to go forward and clean it up. So even though the promise was made, to me that's an option. If you have someone who's made a promise to you and they're not coming forward with it and it will feel better to you to let them off the hook.
I highly advise that. I highly also advise you to, if you've made promises, follow through on them.
And if you can't follow through on them, if it's like, I do this sometimes where I get so over-exuberant that I'm like, Oh yeah, will I'll do X, Y, Z. And then like a half hour later, I'm like, why did I commit myself to this? I don't have the time. I really do want to help this person, but now I'm just pissed off. So in that instance, what I find is the best and most honest thing to do for myself and for the other person is just to get a hold of them and say, “Hey, you know what? I really do want to help you. But I overextended myself when I made that promise to you and let's talk about what I can do that would work better for both of us because I don't want to feel resentful towards you or myself for overextending myself in a moment of exuberance regarding a situation.”
So I hope that makes sense. If that doesn't make sense or if you need to talk more about this and how to do it, look me up. You can send me an email@example.com. I would love to chat with you. I chat with anybody for free for 15 minutes. So take advantage of that, people cause I'd love to chat with you.
The first week of the month starts on Sunday, February 2nd and runs through the 8th and the theme for that week - that very first week of the month - is big shifts can happen when you open your mind. And that's a quote from me, Actually that is so true. You know there's a great quote from Frank Zappa who says a mind is like a parachute. It only works when it is open.
You want to have an open mind. You want to have actually have a don't know mind. The more you think you know, the more trouble it causes and the more fixed your viewpoint can become.
So this week, watch for those things where you think you're damn sure and maybe give it just a little wiggle room to find out where you might not know. If you can find that space of don't know mind, that's like the child mind and everything can come from there...a lot of creativity, problem solving, relaxation, everything.
So big shifts can happen when you open your mind and opening your mind means letting go of what you already thought that you knew.
So that's the challenge for this week. Just kind let go of what you think you know and also a tool that you can use this week is start using the thought, what if it's happening for me and not to me? and see if that changes anything.
Like if there's any situations happening in your life where you're feeling a little victimized or pissed off or you're just struggling with something, just start thinking about it in the terms of what if it's happening for me, not to me. That could really change everything.
Week three starts Sunday, February 9th and ends on Saturday, February 15th.
The affirmation and guidance for this week is your wings already exist. All you have to do is believe you can fly. That is also a quote from me and I guess what I'm talking about here is I want you to just think outside your box. I mean we are all so much more than we give ourselves credit for.
I'm a Reiki healer and I'm blessed with the ability to be able to sometimes see angels and guides and spirits and communicate with them. And when I get someone on my table, a lot of times their spirit guides and angels and help will show up and you guys wouldn't believe what you look like, at least to me energetically because there's so much more going on to everyone and to the whole world actually then we allow ourselves to see.
I'm challenging you this week to just think about it. You know your wings are already there, babe. Just all you have to do is believe you can fly. Start to believe that you're more than you think you are. Because honestly, I know 100% that you are, I've seen it many, many times.
So don't believe everything you think and don't believe everything people say to you about you. Find your wings, they already exist. All you have to do is believe you can fly. And I know that you can and flying can be whatever that looks like to you.
It's about getting outside your comfort zone, right? That's the tool for this week. Just do one small thing outside your comfort zone.
What is that one thing you can do that would just move yourself outside your comfort zone?
Even if you just step outside of it for a second. You know that, that thing that you've been thinking, Oh, if I could just have the courage to do that! Just take a step towards it or you know, and see what happens. And then the next day take another step.
All you have to do is believe you can fly and just one small step could change your life.
So the third week of the month runs from Sunday the 16th and ends on Saturday the 22nd and I love this quote, it's from Mahatma Gandhi. Live your life as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
Basically, that’s shorthand for freaking seize the day. People, don't wait! I mean we all know, you never know when your last day's going to be. I mean we just had the whole tragedy with Kobe Bryant, his family and those people in the helicopter. May they all rest in peace, but I know for a fact they did not get on that helicopter thinking that that was going to be it for them. That is true of all of us. And you know, I'm not trying to get morbid or maudlin, but this is reality. People you just never know when you're going to be leaving the planet. So live like you might die tomorrow and learn like you're going to live forever. Really seize the day.
The tool that I'm challenging you to use for this week is just learn something new. Do something fun. Also this is a good time to put yourself outside your comfort zone. Don't wait. Seize the freaking day because we just don't know. Wow. We don't, you know, my dad died when I was six years old. He was 28 years old and even though he was ill, I don't think anybody thought that that was going to happen.
So just case in point, seize the day.
Week four runs from Sunday, February 23rd through that beautiful bonus day, Saturday, February 29th and the theme for this week is: We don't see things the way they are. We see them as we are. And that's a quote from an Anais Nin.
This is a kind of goes back to week two where I talked about opening your mind because you know, we all get fixed points of view on things.
And have you ever had that instance where you realize that something you thought was not correct at all. And you know that can be a crazy feeling... that actually creates a feeling of cognitive dissonance because you're like, Hey, wait a minute. I believed this about that. And it's not true at all.
I've got a great example of this. A friend of mine, I don't know why her parents did this, but they told her that the word for mango was avocado and she believed this her entire life. Well, you can imagine the confusion that was caused for her as an adult when people were talking to her about mangoes and she's calling them avocados because how would she know that they were anything different? That's what her parents taught her, which really wasn't a very nice thing to do.
So she had to go through that whole thing of like coming to terms with that and realizing a mango is a mango and there's a whole different thing called an avocado and you know, you don't think that that would be such a big deal, but it kind of was a big deal for her. I mean, just getting her head around the whole situation. How did this happen? And she had to get used to this whole new idea that this is not an avocado. It's a mango.
So that's where I'm saying we don't see things the way they are. We see them the way we are because the way she was, was a mango was an avocado.
Just look out this week for where your mangoes might be avocados and you might not be seeing something quite how it is.
The tool for this week is just to consider the possibility again this week that something might not be exactly as you think and that you might just be seeing one very, very small piece of the puzzle.
And be sure to take advantage of February 29th. That is our extra day. That is our leap day. I challenge all of you who are listening to take a leap this month. Do something outside your wheelhouse, you know, get outside the wheelhouse. Do something you wouldn't normally do because this is the month to do it cause it's just going to lead even to a better year and a better decade for you.
Have a great month and be sure to check back in here next month for the month of March.
TRANSCRIBED FROM How to fall in love with yourself TOOLKIT podcast.
Hello and welcome to the How to Fall in Love with Yourself Toolkit for January 2020 complete with your theme for the month, weekly themes and a theme to guide you through this year.
This is your host Kim A. Flodin, and I want to introduce myself before we get going this year and month. You might know me as The Coloring Book Coach or as the host of my other podcast. How in the Hell did I get here? You might've found me through one of the many coloring books I have now on Amazon or somewhere else, but no matter how our paths may have crossed, I'm so glad you're here.
So I wanted to share just a little bit more about myself before we get going. I've been interested in nature, magic fairies, ghosts, other worlds, potential and possibilities for my whole life. And I guess you could call me a seeker because I've always been able to see that things are more than they seem and I love sharing that with other people.
So along the way, I've done lots of fun and interesting and mind-expanding things, including Reiki training. I'm now a Reiki master. If you don't know what Reiki is, I encourage you to check it out. It's a healing energy that can be received either hands-on or from a distance.
And the reason I took Reiki is because I was visiting Lilydale, New York, also known as the town that talks to the dead, and an intuitive guests there told me that I too had spiritual gifts - which I already knew of course - but I was searching for how to align with them and utilize them for my best self and the best for others.
So when she told me that Reiki would help me open up, I listened and I did the training and in that very first training, I started receiving a lot more information than I'd previously allowed myself to receive from people.
Then I did a Reiki healing on a classmate and tuned in to a lot of what was going on in her life - to her surprise and to mine. That was in 2004 and that ability has just grown and grown. So if you're interested in checking it out, I do offer long-distance healings. You can find out more about those on my website.
After Reiki, I wanted to continue my spiritual expansion, so this included traveling to Sedona and working with a monk and learning an ancient meditation. I also healed myself of lifelong asthma allergies and debilitating sciatica and became a trained facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie, which is a fabulous way to release and reframe any and all stressful thoughts that are keeping you unhappy and stuck.
Then in 2010 I took a big chance and changed my life in a major (and it turned out hard) way when I was struck by a financial and emotional tsunami that wiped out everything in my life, but my health and catapulted me into a crazy and challenging adventure, which included driving back and forth across the United States by myself almost five times, working with and helping heroin addicts, discovering my inner artist along the way, starting my own special Energy Apprenticeship Course for people who are ready to be their best and find their own inner healing, plus creating this podcast and my other podcast, How in the Hell did I get here? and helping myself and others heal and aligned with their potential.
So that's a little bit about me and why I do what I do. I really love working with people and helping you open up to your potential and possibilities and help you get there using the gifts that I have along with your spirit and willingness to find your way and be your best.
Be sure to listen all the way to the end of this podcast for a special limited offer just for you.
Speaking of this month. Welcome to January, 2020 it's got a nice ring to it. Don't you think?
I really liked that we are in 2020 but I'm going to take the 2020 analogy and flip it to it's time to have a real clear vision about the future. And we're starting not only a new year, but this is a new decade and there is a no time like the present to drop all the crap that you picked up in the last 10 years that you no longer need anymore.
Seriously set an intention to go into 2020 and this decade clean and clear. You do not need to drag anything from the past that's been holding you down, dragging you back or just getting in your way with you. Let's have a clear 2020 vision for the year ahead and the decade ahead. We deserve that.
I think since it is the beginning of the year, we should have a theme to guide us for the entire year besides just seeing clearly and the theme is not to spoil the ending for you, but everything's going to be okay. That's the actual theme. Not to spoil the ending for you, but everything's going to be okay.
I can't think of a better way to head into a year with the knowledge already being given to us that things are going to be okay, so please remember that as we head into 2020 and go through this year, things are going to be okay. That is my advice to you for this year. That is the theme for your year. Things are going to be okay. Please don't forget that.
We also have a theme for the month of January, which is the more gratitude you have, the more joy you attract.
Um, if you know anything about the law of attraction, you know that that's true. And the law of attraction is basically like attracts like.
So it also could come down to another one of my favorite sayings, which is what you focus on grows. If you're focusing on what's going right, guess what? More things are going to go right. If you're focusing on what's going wrong, guess what? More things are going to go wrong. It just works that way.
Start paying attention to what's going right and find the gratitude.
An action step you can take for this month is to write down three things that went well each day and three things you're grateful for each day.
And I like to do this before I get into bed every night because I have found that if I do this, it helps me sleep better.
I write down my three things that went great. I write down the three things I'm grateful for. And then I also write down whatever the hell is bothering me or that I'm thinking about for that day or what I might be thinking about for tomorrow. Because I've have found that when you can do a brain dump at the end of the day and kind of clear everything out, then my brain doesn't have to be worrying about that stuff at 3:00 AM right? I don't have to wake up thinking about my to-do list. I've already got that written down and taken care of because I've written it down before I went to bed that night. So that's just a little tip that it may help you as well. But I really find that to be a really great way for my brain to just quiet down and let me get some good quality sleep.
So the first week of the month, runs from Sunday, January 6th and ends Saturday, January 11th. And the theme for the week is love is kind, anything less isn't love at all. Wow. What a great way to start the month of January with a reminder that love is kind and anything less isn't love at all.
That's a benchmark right there so you can look around in your life and see where you might be experiencing some places where things aren't so kind and see that that isn't love.
Also, I think this is a huge message for us just to look at how we're being kind and loving to ourselves in our own way. I mean we need to acknowledge ourselves and, and start to really understand that kindness towards ourselves is a huge form of self-love and start looking at ways that you can be so super kind to yourself.
Send a message of kindness and love to yourself starting off this year and see where that takes you because seriously, it has to start with us. No one can really get near us if we aren't being kind and loving to ourselves. I mean who wants to be around a person that isn't kind of loving to themselves?
Be kind, be loving and remember that love is kind, anything less is not love at all. Be kind to yourself this first week in January.
So the theme for the second week of January is there is no such thing as destruction without possibility. And this week runs from Sunday, January 12th through Saturday the 18th.
This is so great to look at this. There's no such thing as destruction without possibility. Nothing can be destroyed without the possibility of something else being birthed. And that counts for just about everything because if something is destroyed or you lose something, there's no way that it can open up space for something else to move in.
It can feel really super hard if you are in the midst of destruction and it can feel like there are no, but trust me, there are, you might not be able to see them right now.
But also remember that the first theme for this month on the first week is love is kind and anything less isn't love at all. So destruction probably doesn't feel kind, that's not love. But the love that is there is contained within the possibility that happens when the destruction happens.
You know, they say that forest fires are actually needed a lot of the time. Not that I love fires or even advocate them and, and things have been mismanaged, but in a normal cycle, a forest will burn and that is the only way for certain pine cones to be popped open and for those seeds to be released so more trees can then regrow.
So in destruction, there is possibility. Just a thought and something really to think about.
The third week of January runs from Sunday, January 19th to the 25th and I love the theme and the truth of the statement for this week. You've done the best you could and your best was absolutely good enough for real.
Isn't that a great statement? Just listen to that. I'm going to repeat that.
Just close your eyes and listen to what I'm saying to you here.
You've done the best you could and your best was absolutely good enough for real. You've done the best you could and your best was absolutely good enough for real. You've done the best you could and your best was absolutely good enough for real.
That's 100% true statement right there because everybody is doing their best at all times and if you think that you're not, or if you think that somebody else isn't, it's not true because we're all doing exactly what we're supposed to be doing and are doing at any given moment.
So we're all doing our best and if the mind wants to say otherwise, that's one opinion. You don't have to believe it. The mind will throw up all sorts of crazy crap. You do not have to believe it.
Thoughts are like clouds in the sky. They don't have to cover up your sunshine... only if you let them.
You've done the best you could and your best was absolutely good enough for real. I know that.
I know that is 100% true and if you don't feel that way, please take a moment to listen to that again. You've done the best you could and your best was absolutely good enough for real and cut yourself some Slack because you deserve it. You've done the best you could.
So for the end of January, the theme is speed doesn't matter, forward as forward. The last week of this month starts on January 26th and ends on February 1st so again, speed doesn't matter, forward is forward.
By the very fact that you're on the planet, you're moving because we all are. You're showing up, I'm showing up just by being here.
So don't worry about how fast you're going. Just know that you're going at exactly the pace you're supposed to. And also if you're a person who thinks that things should be different and things should be showing up quicker and things should be happening quicker and all that stuff, cut yourself some slack because time just goes how it goes and speed really doesn't matter. Forward is forward and you'll get where you're supposed to go when you are supposed to get there. That is one thing I know for sure.
So January looks like an interesting month and it looks like a great start to a great year and a great decade.
So listen, I was thinking about it and since it is a new year and a great time to try new things, I'd like to invite eight of you - yes, I said eight of you - to join me for three months of my energy apprenticeship training.
This training is amazing. We'll work together monthly and with my help, you'll find more clarity and explore your gifts and discover just how magic life can be. You'll also learn how to heal yourself, hands-on through Reiki, and you'll be attuned for level one at the end of the 90 days.

TRANSCRIBED FROM THE HOW TO FALL IN LOVE WITH YOURSELF TOOLKIT PODCAST:
Hey, it's Kim A. Flodin and welcome to the how to fall in love with yourself. Toolkit podcast. Could I have made that name any longer?
Anyway, this is the month of December and we have an awesome theme for this month. It's powerful. The theme for this month is follow your intuition. Be smart, be brave, tell the truth and don't take any shit. And that's a quote from Kelly Cutrone. I like Kelly, I don't know Kelly, but I like that attitude.
So it's the end of the year and I can't think of any better time than to take a stance for yourself, which means really trust that you do know on the inside what's going on. Still waters run deep. You have a stillness inside of you that you can access that will answer anything you need to know. And that is your intuition.
So follow your intuition. Be smart. Say no. If you need to say no, be brave. That also could mean saying no. That also could mean saying yes if there's something that's scaring you a little bit, but you're kind of still attracted to it. Be brave. Say yes and tell the truth.
There is no time like the present than to tell the truth. Whatever that means to you. If this is resonating within you right now, if you have something within you that you have been meaning to tell the truth about now's the time. And when you do tell that truth, don't take any shit.
So whew, we're going out with a bang here people. This is a powerful month.
December 2-8: Let's move into the first week of this month, which runs from December 2nd through 8th and we have a quote here for this week, which is from Wayne Dyer. I love Wayne Dyer. He was one of my teachers along the way, a long, long time ago. But he's great. And if you don't know who he is, please look him up.
Anyway, the quote is, heaven on earth is a choice you must make, not a place you must find. What does that mean? Let's, let's think about that for a second. Have an unearth as a choice. You must make, not a place. You must find what it means to me anyway is that you're basically, I'm basically right here right now. I don't know what's going to happen literally in the next minute.
I mean we all live in places where, you know, extreme weather can almost occur anywhere nowadays. So literally, I mean anything can happen in any moment. So when you really get clear on that, the mind loves to go forward or backwards and take us into places that we're not even at.
I mean, literally, I am just sitting here in front of my microphone talking into it right now. That's all that's happening for me. And it's fine. It's great. I can choose to make this my heaven because why not? Everything's going fine. I'm recording the podcast. It's good.
So heaven on earth is a choice you must make and you can do that in any situation if you drop into the situation and ground yourself and watch where the mind wants to take you and where you actually are. Find the point of contrast and find that stillness and you might just be able to shift your perception.
Again, this kind of follows the theme of follow your intuition. Be smart, be brave, tell the truth, tell the truth to yourself and don't take any shit from the mind trying to take you into the future and take you backwards. Because that just does not help in the long run.
December 9-15: Week number two runs from December 9th through the 15th. And I love this saying. It is, you can't drag anyone down who isn't willing to go.
I'm applying this to my own life. Like I can't drag myself down if I'm not saying I'm willing to go there. Or if someone comes along and is talking crap to me and I agree with what they say, I'm, I'm willing to go. I'm willing to walk down into the pit of hell and feel bad about myself over something someone else said about me, which I want to say. I don't do that very often anymore. Because I understand that we're all in pain of our own sword and when we've lash out, we're lashing out. Because of our hurt on the inside.
So if you can find compassion for people and realize they're usually talking about themselves. But it can be hard. Sometimes words do hurt and you know, I do get dragged down. Just remember again, back to our overall theme. Don't take any shit. Tell the truth. Be brave, be smart. Follow your intuition. If someone's trying to drag you down, this is not the month you want to go with them. Just stand tall. Be firm, believe in yourself. Don't let yourself drag yourself down. Don't beat yourself up over things.
Just stay rooted in the here and now and keep on going because this is a powerful month and it's a powerful month to stand tall and be firm in your conviction of who you are as a person and how really fabulous you are as a person. So whew.
Yeah. Week two, you can't drag anyone down who isn't willing to go. So the key is don't be willing to go. Week three runs from December 16th through the 22nd, and this is one of my favorite sayings, and you'll see it.
December 16-22: You'll see me saying this on social media. I love taking pictures and I seem to find hearts everywhere, so it's love is everywhere when you're paying attention. Again, that goes back to the whole thing of paying attention. Where am I right now? Where is the love right now? Well, for me, I'm sitting in this little booth recording this podcast, but I have a chair that's supporting me. My equipment's, it's comfortable in here. It's, I'm pretty in a year, so if that's not love, I don't know what it is so you can find it if you look for it.
The other thing is I'm going to challenge you this week to take a time limit. Whatever you want to do. If it's 12 hours a day, 24 hours, 40 hours, I don't care. Just say I want to see as many hearts in as many places as I can in the next 48 hours say and start keeping track because I'm telling you love is everywhere when you're paying attention, and if you look at the blog post for this week, I found a picture of a heart. I saw a heart. It formed out of a bumper, just the angle of it. A bumper had fallen off a car and someone had set it up against this concrete blocks and all I saw was a heart. Other people just would've seen garbage. But there's definitely a heart there.
So keep your eyes open. Love is everywhere. And if you start living like that, the universe really does start to show you the love. I'm not even kidding. More and more magical things will happen.
December 23-29: So the last week of this month, which is December 23rd through the 29th has another great saying. The only time that Rose colored glasses don't work is when you take them off. And that's a quote from Jim Channon. The only time Rose colored glasses don't work is when you take them off. It's true. You got to think positively.
People, I wake up every day or most of the days, and I literally, I mean, I'm kind of a dork, but I don't care. I literally I say to myself, it's going to be a great day. Everything's going my way. You know, and I'm sure that's like the start of a song or something, but it just makes me feel better cause I don't know what the day is going to bring, but I do know that if I greet the day in a positive, happy way, the days going to respond in kind. That just makes sense.
You put out the positive energy, it's going to come back to you. I have learned this over and over and over again in my life. Either I am the luckiest person alive or I am so positive or possibly a little bit of both. I do know that I am a cockeyed optimist. I really am and I've been called Pollyanna and you know other names because I see things as being good most of the time.
I just expect things to be good. I expect things to go well to the point that at one point in my life I was able to fly free on a major airline for about 12 or 13 years, but I had to to fly standby, but I always just thought, "Oh, it's going to be such a great adventure and I always expected to get on the plane and guess what? I did! I got on the plane 57 times and I think only two times I couldn't get out of the plane, but then something else really far out and wonderful happened and most of those trips were in first-class.
Think positive. It's worth it. It doesn't cost you anything. Just remember we're ending the year and the only time that Rose colored glasses don't work is when you take them off. That is it just a great reminder for life in a really beautiful way to wrap up this year.
Speaker 1: (09:14)
Let's go into the new year. Knowing that we can really trust ourselves. Really being able to know that our intuition is solid. We can rely on that. We are going to be smart. We're going to be brave. We're telling our truth and we're not taking any more shit. I just love that.
Yet, even among all those things, we're going to remember that heaven on earth is a choice and we're going to make that choice and we're not going to keep searching for something to be better because we're going to find what's really awesome and good right here.
And, we're going to remember that you can't drag anyone down who isn't willing to go. That's either you or someone trying to drag you down. And of course you don't want to do that to other people. And then of course, love is everywhere. Look for those hearts. Look for those hearts.
Speaker 1: (10:02)
Set that 48 hour time limit and ask the universe to show you the love. And you know it might not be a heart for you. It could be something else that symbolizes love, but just ask for it to show you the love. I see a lot of hearts.
And then we're going out of the year with the only time that rose-colored glasses don't work is when you take them off. So there is every reason to be optimistic. And every reason to believe that this is going to be a great month and a great year ahead.
As a challenge for this final week of the month, full week of the month, you could write down every day three things that you're grateful for and three things that you're optimistic about and see where that takes you. Just do it for seven days and see what happens. So that's it for this month. Thank you so much for tuning in.

So have a great month. December is a beautiful month. Go out there, be your best self, and I'll be back next year for your January, how to fall in love with yourself. Tool kit.
Hello and welcome to how to fall in love with yourself toolkit for the month of November, 2019 this is an exciting month with some great themes.
The overall theme for this month is one of my favorite sentiments, which is believe in yourself. It all starts there, people. Unless you believe in yourself, you're not really going to be able to accomplish too much is got to believe in yourself. So just remember, you've got this, you can do this and you're amazing.
Let's move into what's happening now for the month of November. The first week of this month runs from Sunday, November 3rd and ends on Saturday. The ninth. The theme for this week is you must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you. That's a quote actually from Joseph Campbell. So let's unpack that a little bit.
The first thing that really comes to my mind is there's a great saying that if you want to make God laugh, make plans. Because truly how many times have you planned something and it went exactly as planned. I really can't think of anything that I've done that has gone exactly as planned, but I'm kind of glad that things don't go exactly as planned because you know, variety is the spice of life and when things go awry it is a chance for you to rise up and shine and deal with it, right?
It's not really what's going wrong. That is such a problem. It's how we react to it.
So what Joseph Campbell is saying is basically give up the life you've planned and look at what's waiting for you. I think we all get up every day with certain plans and we, if we're planning too much, we can actually miss what's actually happening in our lives.
I know for me personally, one of the things I really try to do every day is go outside and just be outside in nature for, you know, 10 to 15 minutes a day without my phone, without anything else. Just sit and think, or look at the clouds, watch the wind, blow, listen to the birds, whatever it is. Just take some time out for yourself to, you know, to be open to what's actually occurring around you because there's so much going on and a lot more going on than we ever think.
It's okay if you give up the life you've planned because there is a life that's waiting for you.
This first week of this month might be just a great time to kind of think about maybe what, what can you give up, what can you give up and what can you open yourself to.
The second week of the month runs from Sunday, November 10th through Saturday the 16th. The theme for this week is expect nothing, appreciate everything and watch your life change.
You know, I have another saying that I like to say is,expectations will fuck you up. It's true. Anytime we're having an expectation of something that doesn't go our way, this kinda harks back to week one and it can really screw us up. And a lot of times what I've noticed is I have expectations when I didn't even know I had expectations. I'll get somewhere and realize, oh my God, I, I didn't even know I was thinking about this, but this isn't what I thought was going to be happening. So that's what I mean by expectations can fuck you up.
But if you can find it clear, if you can find a way clear to lose your expectations and just be super open to what's occurring and what's happening in your life, it can be amazing. Then if you really want to ramp this up, start to appreciate everything that's happening.
There's always something happening for you. It's rarely, rarely happening to you. I don't know if it's ever happening to you. I think it's always happening for us actually.
But if you can appreciate everything, I guarantee you by dropping expectations, really focusing on appreciation, you will watch your life change, your life will change.
So it's a powerful week and combined with the theme of believing in yourself. You could really see some things happen this week.
Moving into our third week, which runs from Sunday, November 17th through Saturday, the 23rd the theme this week is what are the infinite possibilities for something different to show up in my life.
I love how this month is just hanging together with kind of a common theme because you know, possibilities are infinite and anything can show up and if we apply the rule from the previous week to expect nothing but appreciate everything when something different does show up and we appreciate it, it can be a real game changer.
Plus don't lock yourself in thinking that you're just able to do X, Y, Z because truly we have infinite possibilities in life. We all know this where we've been chugging along in one direction and all of a sudden something occurs in our life that we did not see coming and we're off in a different direction and managing it. So you can do this. Just be open to those infinite possibilities for something different to show up when you release your expectations. It really opens up space for infinite possibilities to show up right now in your life.
Keep an eye out during this third week of November because you just don't know what's going to happen.
And then we have the last week of the month, which runs from Sunday, November 24th through the 30th Saturday and includes Thanksgiving.
I kinda love the saying for this week, the theme, which is don't look back. You're not going that way. Don't look back. That is so true. I mean, we all have a tendency to look back and see what's gone on and lament over things that could have been different or wish we could have changed something. But you know what? That's all great. But that's not where you're going. You've already been there.
So this week don't bother looking back. You're not going that way. Let's just look forward. Believe that we can remember that we can believe in ourselves and just know that things are okay and we can be open to what's happening and we don't need to look back anymore.
A lot of times looking back, it can be painful. We can get caught up in feelings of regret, shame, blame, anger, whatever that isn't helpful for where you're at right now.
If you are a person that does that to yourself, I'm going to say one of the things that I recommend is spending time in nature, head outside, sit under a tree for 15 minutes, look around, take in life. life is happening and what's already happened is what's already happened.
That's it for this month. Have a great November and if you really want to up your game and really change your life, I have something called the Superwoman Sessions. It's a four-week program based on my coloring book journal called, You've Got This Superwoman, which will change your life. There's so many benefits.
Plus it's super fun. You can take time out for yourself to participate in something fun and beneficial that you don't have to plan for yourself. The benefits include finding a renewed sense of accountability and accomplishment for yourself as you step forward and take positive steps to support yourself and care for yourself.
Every week you'll find personalized cheerleaders and new friends for support and tough times. There's reasons to take care of yourself and nurture yourself. It's a safe place and it's just really a lot of fun.
It's a four week session. I do it with three people at a time and we meet for an hour once a week for four weeks. And it's amazing.
One of the things, and this is really worth the price of admission, is you will learn how to say no easily and effortlessly without shame or second guessing. Because guess what? A note to someone else is a yes to you. So say yes to yourself and consider doing a Superwoman Session.
Anybody who signs up now during the month of November will receive a free printed copy of You've Got This Superwoman, the coloring book journal, which we use in the class. And that book is about 240 pages. So it's a, it's a really cool coloring book journal.

I just had an interesting exchange on social media with someone I've known for a long time but don't know well. This person was sharing that they are really pissed off about something that happened a long time ago. I don't believe it happened to them personally, but they somehow decided to take it personally.
I get it. We all get pissed off by things we hear about or read about... and it's okay to be angry as long as you do something with that anger. Anger is a great catalyst for action... and sadly, it's also a great catalyst for, well, more anger.
It's like the old saying " Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. - Buddha"
My point is why hold onto it year after year after year? Why let a coal sit and burn in your soul like that? Who are you hurting? You are hurting you! If you're pissed off, do something about it - use it to guide you to constructive action, don't let it simmer forever... nobody needs that. Not you, not the people around you.
Also, if you're pissed at someone for something they supposedly did in the past, I advise you (and I'm talking to myself as well) to look at what you're pissed at them for exactly and find a time when you probably did the same exact thing!
For instance, if I'm pissed off about something someone said that I disagree with, I sure as hell can find where I've done that about a million times. I've judged people and said things that didn't need to be said and thankfully, I now have tools that help me let that shit go! And I can tell you, it's amazing when you do that!
It comes down to this: When we know better, we do better. Belief systems and people can change and sometimes it only takes an instant! I know that and so do you... remember that thing you were so sure of which turned out NOT at all like you thought? Yep, you saw it differently and realized you were wrong and hopefully you changed!
One thing I know for use is that everyone is capable of change. And, in fact that is the only constant - I am not the same person I was exactly 5 years ago and I bet you're not either. But to judge someone on something that happened in the past especially if they themselves have offered that maybe they could have done better only hurts you.... you are losing the chance to know them and to learn from what they've learned.
It's okay to be angry... but do you really need to carry that hot piece of coal around?
If you think this all sounds nuts, that's okay... or if you realize you might have some anger lying around that is burning you, let me know... I have several techniques to help you let that shit go! Email firstname.lastname@example.org and let's work together to clear that coal and heal those burns.
INTUITIVE INSIGHT: JUNE 3-9
Note: The Colors of the Week Report and Downloadable Kit will be delivered monthly now on the first Sunday of the month and will contain the complete Report and Kit for the entire month.
June is off to a powerful start! I mean look at the colors for this first week… they are vibrant, powerful, and eye-catching… just like you!
It’s a week to focus on your personal freedom… WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO? This is the question you must ask yourself and be prepared to hear the answer and take a step towards fulfilling it? You know what this is and you probably even know what step or steps you need to take to start making it happen. Now is the time to do that! The energy supports you in taking those steps!
As we move into the middle of the week, the focus in all on family. What does that mean? Well, actually family can mean a lot of things…. Your family of origin… where you came from, or the family you have created for yourself now… which also can mean a lot of things… family doesn’t always mean the ones we are directly related to!
So, in general it’s a good time right now to evaluate your relationships! Take a look and be real about what’s working, what’s not, what can be improved and maybe even what can be let go of. This is powerful and you can do it!
As the week draws to an end, we shift to animals (who can also be part of the family). When we become aware of the animals around us, either the pets we have or the animals who show themselves to us in nature, we can learn a lot! Pay attention to your pets and right now and listen closely to what they may be trying to share with you and also any animals who keep showing up.. they come with a message!
INTUITIVE INSIGHT JUNE 10-16
This is a powerful week… with a lot of potential for positive change if you are willing to step forward and make the first moves.
The beginning of the week is about justice. Justice is a powerful word and can mean a lot of things to people… one of the things it doesn’t mean is revenge. That is not the same as justice.
Justice is when things are balancing out in a fair and just way and there’s a good chance that you might see something you’ve been wondering about experiencing the effects of justice without you having to do a thing. It will resolve beautifully on it’s own! (If something really cool or crazy happens now… be sure to let me know at email@example.com!)
Midweek finds you focusing on travel… are you getting ready to make a move? Take a trip? Planning a trip? Thinking about traveling? Or even daydreaming about trips you’ve already made?
Now is the time to indulge all your travel fantasies and maybe even finally start planning the big trip you’ve dreamed about.
It can also be a time of travel on the interior… you may be discovering things about yourself and your life that are surprising, exciting, and eye-opening… pay attention to what may be revealed to you right now!
As the week draws to a close, know that you are protected in all ways. If that doesn’t feel true to you, please take a moment and call on Archangel Michael… he is the angel of protection and is always there for you if you need him (and if you don’t). I
f you feel the need for protection right now from anything… ask him to come and help you… you may just be surprised what happens when you do! (I’ve been working with Archangel Michael for years and he has never let me down and I’ve learned things might not always happen how you think they should, but in the long wrong, they are happening in the best way for you if you can trust His guidance!)
